Cash For Cans

I have registered the club for the Cash For Cans scheme run by Aylesbury Recycling and Re-use Centre  - ARRC.  The club will receive 35p per kilo of aluminium drinks cans collected which are then recycled. ARRC also provides sheltered work opportunities for adult volunteers with learning difficulties – one of their tasks is to crush the cans. 

By participating in this scheme we can raise much needed funds for the club, encourage recycling, reduce waste sent to landfill and support the work of ARRC.

Please put your cans in the green boxes:

- Aluminium drinks cans only (and clean aluminium foil)
- Please make sure cans are EMPTY
- Please do NOT crush the cans

Get the recycling habit to help conserve the earth's resources and show your commitment to the environment, both globally and here in the UK. A lot of people doing something quite small to help the environment - makes a BIG difference!

And when you collect aluminium drinks cans and foil for recycling, you are not only helping the environment - up to 95% less energy is used every time a used drinks can or a foil pie case is recycled into new aluminium - but you are also releasing the high value of aluminium.

All over the country, aluminum cans and foil can be exchanged for cash, or donated to help raise funds for different local charities and community groups.
